I am a journalist covering migration and Latin America from Colombia, telling digital and video stories.

My core area of coverage is migration from this region, using and melding the my contextual experience covering U.S. immigration policy in Washington for the last several years. I focused especially on the issues plaguing the visa programs for Afghans and Iraqis who aided the U.S. military, and the fallout from the Afghanistan withdrawal.

I most recently worked as the first-ever national politics reporter for Spectrum News' digital platforms, where I covered the White House and Biden administration daily, finding and writing enterprise stories for our local audiences across the country, especially about immigration, the COVID-19 response and infrastructure. I also founded the company’s first ever spot in the White House press pool, briefing room and workspace, transforming the brand new digital role.

Skilled experience in:

  • Covering the White House & Biden administration, reporting on immigration policy

  • Live TV reporting, field producing, digital video production, shooting and editing

  • Digital and enterprise breaking news
